Surgical Excellence Amplified by AI:

Safer Surgery, Better Outcome

Mission

Our mission at SurgeonAI is to create the most advanced AI platform for continuous safety supervision and real-time decision support for surgeons during Minimally Invasive Surgeries (MIS). More than 1% of the 13,000,000 MIS worldwide undergo preventable surgical errors. While 1% of the procedures may not seem significant at first glance, this translates to 130,000 preventable errors. These errors can result in complications, repeated procedures, prolonged hospital stays, legal and insurance disputes, and, tragically, fatalities. SurgeonAI is developing a platform to provide real-time safety alerts, anatomical guidance, and quantitative information aimed at preventing errors during MIS procedures, ensuring safer surgeries, and ultimately achieving better patient outcomes.

Technology

The SurgeonAI Platform

At SurgeonAI, we utilize a dedicated computation unit installed in the operating room (OR). This specialized unit efficiently runs various AI networks and computer vision algorithms on the surgical video. It seamlessly fits into the OR setup, blending into medical procedures without disruption. Once operational, It acts as an additional resource available during surgery, leveraging its vast experience from numerous procedures it was trained on to provide valuable advice and support to the surgical team in real time.

SurgeonAI Real Time Alerts

It is very common to ask for a second opinion when people deal with a health problem. But what happens when the second opinion is needed in real time while you are going through a surgery? How can you make sure that you are being operated with the best surgical care possible? The SurgeonAI platform provides surgical guidance and alerts during your surgery to support your surgeon in real time and make sure that you are getting the best surgical care possible.

SurgeonAI Quantitative Analysis

During laparoscopic surgeries quantitative information is essential. It can be the length of the bowls, the size of a hernia or the estimation of blood flow in a tissue. Such information can only be roughly estimated by the human surgeon. Alternatively, quantitative information might require additional expensive equipment, e..g 3D cameras. SurgeonAI uses state of the art computer vision and deep learning algorithms to provide accurate quantitative information using the standard equipment of laparoscopic towers.
